Measurement of Cervical Length by Translabial Ultrasonography in Fullterm Pregnancies




Abstract
In a prospecive study of 177 pregnancies, at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Taegu Catholic University Hospital, cervical lengths were documented by TLU(translabial ultrasonography) during antenatal period after 36 completed weeks of
gestation,
except PROM, spontaneous labor and cesarean section.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. Mean cervical length of primigravidsa were 2.2¡¾0.5cm, and those of multigravidas were 2.6¡¾0.7cm, there was a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).
2. A relationship was not found between cervical length and different gestational age in fullterm gravidas(p>0.1).
3. There were no significant differences between cervical length and labor onset and cervical length and duration of laobr(p>0.1)
